Biennale Giardini: Am Anfang wartet das Kassenh\u00e4uschen<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Taumelland besuchte in diesem Jahr zu allerersten Mal die Biennale in Venedig.
Die 59. Biennale steht unter dem Motto \u201eThe Milk of Dreams\u201c und l\u00e4uft noch bis zum 27.11.2022.
Das Motto ist dem gleichnamigen Titel eines M\u00e4rchens der Surrealistin Leonora Carrington entlehnt. Insgesamt beteiligen sich 213 K\u00fcnstler*innen aus 58  L\u00e4ndern an der Biennale, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf Arbeiten von K\u00fcnstlerinnen liegt. Thematisch besch\u00e4ftigt sich die Ausstellung mit der symbiotischen Beziehung  zwischen dem Menschen und seiner nat\u00fcrlichen und zivilisatorischen Umwelt. Als sterbliche k\u00f6rperbehaftete Lebewesen sind wir weder unverwundbar noch von unserer Umwelt unabh\u00e4ngig, sondern eingewoben in ein Netz von Beziehungen und gegenseitigen Abh\u00e4ngigkeiten, die uns untereinander und mit der Welt verbinden. Das gilt sowohl f\u00fcr uns als Individuen wie auch f\u00fcr die Gesamtheit der menschlichen Zivilisation und deren Geschichte. Vor dem Hintergrund eines rasant fortschreitenden technologischen Wandels, der Globalisierung, andauernder Kriege, der Pandemie und des sich abzeichnenden Klimawandels bei fortschreitender Ausbeutung und damit einhergehender Zerst\u00f6rung der Natur entfalten sich auf der Biennale die unterschiedlichsten Positionen.
Wie die Menschheit, das Individuum und die Natur neu denken? Wo sind solidarische Beziehungen m\u00f6glich und was folgt daraus? Utopie und Dystopie liegen hierbei oft dicht beieinander. Von der Wiedererneuerung im Sinne der Aufkl\u00e4rung (\u201eMan of Reason\u201c) \u00fcber die Vorstellung von posthumanen Lebensformen und Lebenswelten, den Wunsch nach einer allgemeinen Wiederverzauberung der Welt etc. gibt es viel zum Nachsp\u00fcren, Einf\u00fchlen und Nachdenken.
Am Begriff der \u201eWiederverzauberung\u201c (\u201ere-enchant\u201c) l\u00e4sst sich die Janusk\u00f6pfigkeit der m\u00f6glichen Zukunft einer menschlicher Zivilisation gut nachvollziehen. So meint er einmal den Versuch durch eine neue – magische – Beziehung das B\u00fcndnis mit der Natur und den Tieren zu erneuern \u2013 also in Harmonie und Einklang mit der Umwelt zu leben. Zum anderen verweist er aber auch auf die m\u00f6gliche Bedrohung durch menschengemachte Technologien wie K\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz, neuronale Netzwerke und Algorithmen, die losgel\u00f6st von aller Menschlichkeit in Zukunft unsere Lebenswelt steuern k\u00f6nnten und uns in ihrer Komplexit\u00e4t – die wir nicht mehr nachvollziehen k\u00f6nnen werden \u2013in Form von scheinbarer Magie gegen\u00fcber treten w\u00fcrden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eigentlich aber ist die Biennale gar nicht so d\u00fcster wie Ihr nun denken k\u00f6nntet. Das Ganze macht sehr viel Spa\u00df, hat Witz und macht sowohl neugierig als auch Freude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Biennale findet in Venedig an zwei Orten statt: einmal den Giardini (Biennale Hauptgeb\u00e4ude und L\u00e4nder Pavillons) und zum anderen im Arsenale der ehemaligen Schiffwerft von Venedig. Ein Ticket gilt f\u00fcr den jeweils einmaligen Zutritt beider Veranstaltungsorte.
Es gibt wirklich viel zu Entdecken und zusammen mit der gro\u00dfen Hitze wurde es mir irgendwann auch \u201eZuviel des Guten\u201c und ich musste die Segel streichen. Sch\u00f6ner w\u00e4re es f\u00fcr mich gewesen, ich h\u00e4tte die Biennale jeden Tag mal so f\u00fcr zwei drei Stunden besuchen k\u00f6nnen, als nur an zwei \u201elangen\u201c Tagen, ich h\u00e4tte dann mehr von der gezeigten Kunst aufnehmen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zur Biennale werden \u00fcber die Stadt verstreut auch an anderen Stellen in Venedig Ausstellungen gezeigt \u2013 die sogenannten Collaterali. Eine gute M\u00f6glichkeit sonst f\u00fcr die \u00d6ffentlichkeit nicht zug\u00e4ngliche Orte mal von innen zu besichtigen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
