Es ist so unscheinbar, dass wir trotz eingeschaltetem Navi erst einmal daran vorbei gefahren sind. Das Naturschutzgebiet ist Teil einer der gr\u00f6\u00dften Binnend\u00fcnenlandschaften Schleswig-Holsteins. Im Unterschied zu den oft aufgeforsteten D\u00fcnengebieten, hat sich hier der offene \u201eheideartige\u201c Charakter der Landschaft erhalten. Die S\u00fcderl\u00fcgumer Binnend\u00fcnen stellen mit ihrer geringen F\u00e4higkeit Wasser zu speichern, dem n\u00e4hrstoffarmen B\u00f6den und den starken Temperaturschwankungen ein extremem Lebensraum dar. Das hier Eichen wachsen, zeigt wie robust und anpassungsf\u00e4hig diese Baumart ist. \u00a0Es f\u00e4llt mit schwer zu sch\u00e4tzen wie alt die B\u00e4ume wohl seien m\u00f6gen?
