Hihi, ja so schaut\u2019s aus!
\nTaumelland feierte am 26.03.2018 zwei j\u00e4hrigen Geburtstag. Erst einmal m\u00f6chte ich mich an dieser Stelle bei Euch allen f\u00fcr das Interesse an meinem Projekt bedanken.
\nOhne eure liebevolle Begleitung w\u00e4re das Netz f\u00fcr taumelland ein eisiger Ort!<\/p>\n

Zum Zweij\u00e4hrigen habe ich mal eine erweiterte Playlist mit allen auf taumelland zitierten Songs und Alben erstellt. Daf\u00fcr habe ich eine neue Seite \u201eSongs<\/a>\u201c angelegt. Taumelland ist stark von Musik durchzogen und durch Musik inspiriert.
\nDer ganze\u00a0 Blog ist sozusagen \u201edriven by music\u201c!<\/p>\n

\u201eSpiegelsaal\u201c ist einer meiner Lieblingssongs von Kraftwerk. Da geht es mir genauso wie Siouxsie and the Banshees, die das St\u00fcck mal gecoverd haben (Hall of Mirrors, through the looking glass, 1987).
\nIch bin n\u00e4mlich auch ein bekennender Anh\u00e4nger von Coverversionen.
\nCover transportieren einen Song nicht nur auf dem Zeitpfeil weiter, sondern sie vermessen auch dessen Deutungshorizont. Wie bei einer Zwiebel sch\u00e4lt jedes Cover eine neue Bedeutungsebene heraus.
\nSo ging es mir mit Blumfelds \u201eSo lebe ich\u201c (1999), dessen Coverversion\u00a0 \u201eThat\u2019s How I Live\u201c von der Walkabouts (2000) mir viel verst\u00e4ndlicher und damit auch n\u00e4her war als das Original von Blumfeld. Es war in dem Fall sogar eher umgekehrt, dass ich das Original erst durch das Cover sch\u00e4tzen gelernt habe, und das Cover so f\u00fcr mich an die Stelle des Originals getreten war.
\nSo kann es sein, dass Ihr auf der Playlist mehrere Versionen von einem Song findet.\u00a0 Vielleicht habt Ihr ja auch Spa\u00df dran, Songs mal unter epistemologischen Gesichtspunkten zu betrachten und auf Euch wirken zu lassen.<\/p>\n

Cover stehen nat\u00fcrlich auch in einer Tradition auraler \u00dcberlieferung, so wie Volksmusik generell oder eben auch der Blues. Es war und ist eine Form Lebenserfahrung\/Lebensfreude \u00a0als in Musik verpackte Geschichten durch die Zeit zu transportieren und so nachfolgenden Generationen zu vermitteln. Wobei jede der folgenden Generation neue\/andere Aspekte erfindet\/betont und daf\u00fcr andere unter den Tisch fallen l\u00e4sst und so der Song immer an seinen aktuellen sozialhistorischen Kontext angepasst wird.
\nMit dem Aufkommen der Musikindustrie und der Verrechtlichung der Eigentumsverh\u00e4ltnisse an Musik ist das Covern zum Teil richtig heikel geworden, da man es sich nun erst mal \u201eleisten\u201c k\u00f6nnen muss und oder zumindest eventuelle Besitzrechte ber\u00fccksichtigen muss.
\nDas gilt vor allem auch f\u00fcr das Sampeln, also das Verwenden von Songteilen, oder aber deren ineinander Mischen.
\nDas f\u00fchrt mich zu Kraftwerk zur\u00fcck, die ja auch einen unr\u00fchmlichen Prozess gegen Moses Pelham f\u00fchren, da er unautorisiert ein Fragment aus einem Kraftwerksong verwendet haben soll.
\nIn dem Prozess geht es vor allem auch darum, wie \u201elang\u201c so ein \u201egesampeltes\u201c Teilst\u00fcck sein darf und wie \u201ewesentlich\u201c es f\u00fcr den neuen Song ist.<\/p>\n

Das Verfahren ist mittlerweile vor dem Europ\u00e4ischen Gerichtshof gelandet. Ihr merkt schon mit den \u201eGood old Boys\u201c aus den Blues Brother Film hat das nichts mehr zu tun. Es ist Wahnsinn, \u00fcber solche Fragen Gerichte entscheiden lassen zu wollen.<\/p>\n

Kraftwerk gelten als eine der am h\u00e4ufigsten gesampelten Bands \u00fcberhaupt, witzig finde ich dabei dass die so h\u00fcftsteifen \u201eKraftwerker\u201c gerne auch von Rap und EDM \u2013Musiker\/innen gesampelt werden\/worden sind.
\nHierzu gibt es ein gutes Video auf Youtube: \u201ethe Kraftwerk influence\u201c\u00a0 mit einigen \u00fcberraschenden H\u00f6rbeispielen, so haben beispielsweise auch Pink Floyd f\u00fcr \u201eTime\u201c Kraftwerk gesampelt (\u201eKling Klang\u201c).
\nIch denke, dass ein gro\u00dfer Teil ihres heutigen Ruhms und auch ihrer aktuellen k\u00fcnstlerischen Relevanz genau darauf beruht, dass sich andere Musiker\/innen \u00a0bis heute auf sie beziehen und eben Kraftwerk Samples verwenden.
\nAber auch Kraftwerk selbst sind 2018 f\u00fcr \u201e3D – der Katalog\u201c (das Album\/Video zur Tour)\u00a0 mit dem Grammy f\u00fcr das beste Electronic\/Dance Album ausgezeichnet worden. Ich denke, Kraftwerk covern sich seit nunmehr f\u00fcnfzehn Jahren selbst, denn eigentlich besteht der 3D-Katalog aus\u00a0 nichts Anderem als neu abgemischten Versionen Ihrer alten St\u00fccke, die ja wie auch \u201eSpiegelsaal\u201c zum Teil noch aus den siebziger Jahren stammen. Gerade bei Kraftwerk kann man also gut beobachten, wie sich der kulturelle Bedeutungshorizont von Musik verschiebt.\u00a0 In diesem Fall von einem \u00a0– in heutigen Worten – \u00a0\u201enerdigen\u201c Electronic-Pop Crossover hin zu eher \u201ehedonistischer\u201c Tanzmusik.
\nWenn man sich klarmacht, dass ihr letztes Album mit neuen St\u00fccken aus dem Jahr 2003 ist (Tour de France) und Sie trotzdem oder auch gerade deswegen? 2018 nur durch das Fort- und Umschreiben ihres alten Materials einen Grammy gewinnen konnten, dann ist das schon unglaublich und zeigt, wie kreativ und bereichernd covern\/sampeln f\u00fcr Musik ist. Es zeigt aber auch, welches unglaubliche Potential in dieser Musik steckt. Kraftwerk haben echt das Zeug zuk\u00fcnftig als \u201eFolkband\u201c zu gelten.
\nVielleicht sollten wir uns alle viel \u00f6fter mal selber covern \ud83d\ude42 anstatt uns neu erfinden oder grundlegend ver\u00e4ndern zu wollen –\u00a0 w\u00e4re spannend was dabei herausk\u00e4me.<\/p>\n

Aber noch mal zur\u00fcck an den Anfang dieser Geschichte \u2013 \u201eSpiegelsaal\u201c: \u00a0Das erinnert mich sofort an \u201eDas Bildnis des Dorian Gray\u201c, oder auch etwas weniger literarisch aber daf\u00fcr umso geschichtstr\u00e4chtiger an den Spiegelsaal im Schloss von Versailles. Ich denke an das wahnsinnige Universum von Ludwig den II der Schloss Herrenchiemsee nach dem Vorbild von Versailles errichten lie\u00df und darin ebenfalls einen – nur um vier Meter l\u00e4ngeren – \u00a0Spiegelsaal erbauen lie\u00df. Dann f\u00e4llt mir noch – wie Siouxsie – der Roman \u00a0\u201eAlice Through the Looking Glass\u201c von Lewis Carroll und last but not least \u201eSchneewitchen\u201c ein.<\/p>\n

Ich behaupte nun, all das kann man in dem Kraftwerk Song h\u00f6ren! Probiert es aus!<\/p>\n

Aber h\u00f6rt nicht die aktuelle Version \u2013 die aus \u00a0\u201e3D \u2013 der Katalog\u201c \u2013 da machen Kraftwerk wie geschrieben n\u00e4mlich Tanzmusik und vieles von dem alten Zauber der ersten Version (1977) und auch der remasterten Version (2009) musste daf\u00fcr Neuem weichen.<\/p>\n

So das war\u2019s von meiner Seite aus. Ein ganz sch\u00f6n geschw\u00e4tziger Beitrag, aber am Geburtstag von taumelland erlaube ich mir das mal.<\/p>\n
